  • Regional non-controlled aerodrome
  • Mix of traffic: RPT, Air Ambulance, helicopters, charter ops, RAAF aircraft, private and training flights

Burketown

  • Non-controlled aerodrome
  • Caution: potentially busy periods of commercial and private scenic traffic, fixed wing and heli, from 500 ft AMSL in area
  • Check ERSA for details about refuelling options
  • Gliding ops during dry season
  • Birds and wallabies in vicinity

Karumba

  • Coastal non-controlled aerodrome
  • Check ERSA for details about refuelling options
  • Caution: potentially busy periods of commercial and private scenic traffic, fixed wing and heli, from 500 ft AMSL in area
  • Bird hazard, particularly early morning and late afternoon
  • Wonderful scenic flying along the coastline and river system of the Gulf
