To provide remote pilot licence (RePL) training, you'll need to hold a remotely piloted aircraft operator's certificate (ReOC) that authorises remote pilot training.

Request a pre-application meeting
At this stage, we encourage you to request a pre-application meeting. The meeting provides a brief overview of the application process and allows you to discuss pre-submitted questions with us about your training submission.
This pre-application meeting lasts up to 30 minutes. We are required to charge $160 per hour for pre-application meetings over 30 minutes duration. It will be by video or by phone.

Apply for a remotely piloted aircraft operator’s certificate (ReOC)
Apply for an initial remotely piloted aircraft operator's certificate (ReOC) or vary your existing ReOC. You’ll need to nominate a chief remote instructor (CRI) in addition to your chief remote pilot (CRP). Your CRI will need to meet the requirements outlined in the Part 101 Manual of Standards.
You must submit a complete application. Please refer to the application for RePL training checklist in:
Incomplete applications won't be considered.
Once approved by us, you can provide RePL course training with the RPA types and categories you applied for. You can find your ReOC details listed on our website as a certified RePL training provider.
Training standards
The training must meet standards identified in chapter 2 of the Part 101 Manual of Standards. This makes sure that all trainers deliver standardised and high-quality training that covers:
- the relevant aeronautical knowledge standards
- the relevant practical competency standards
- an aeronautical knowledge exam
- flight testing
- administrative requirements.
